A small company that provides IT consulting services to small-to-medium sized businesses in the South Puget Sound area is currently seeking a Computer Desktop/Network support technician.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Address computer issues for small businesses including troubleshooting and fixing of computer hardware, software, and peripherals such as printers, tablets, smartphones etc.
• Perform network management activities such as creating user accounts, managing passwords, home directories, checking and restoring backups, etc.
• Schedule and complete work orders assigned to you by manager
• Assist Network Engineers with Server tasks such as server installs, changeovers, upgrades, etc
• Calling customers and following-up on work performed

• Ability to explain technical problems to non-technical people when appropriate
• Resourcefulness and ability to troubleshoot problems independently
• Dependable self-starter with ability to work under little or no supervision
• Excellent organizational and scheduling skills
• Ability to multi-task and concurrently manage and track multiple ongoing customer projects
• High quality of workmanship with high attention to detail
• Take responsibility and personal pride in work
Technical Experience/Skills Desired:
• Ability and aptitude (and desire) to learn new technologies and technical skills as technology changes
• Previous helpdesk, network technician, or desktop technician experience preferred
• A+ and/or MCP certification preferred
• Experience with Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10 in a networked environment
• Experience installing and configuring network-aware applications
• Basic hardware and network troubleshooting and computer repair
• Basic understanding of networking computers in a Microsoft Windows Server environment
