chemistry education만 전공해왔고, chemistry만 강의한지 7년이 넘었네요.

 저는 한국에 살고 있고,

강남 압구정에서 학원 강의 및, 개인&group tutor를 하고 있습니다.

미국 캐나다 유학생들 및 한국에 있는 international school(KIS, SIS, YISS, APIS etc.) 학생들만을 가르쳐왔구요. abroad에 있는 유학생들을 위해서 skype로도 수업을 진행하고 있기에 글을 올리게 되었습니다. ^^

 

그동안 수많은 학생들을 가르치면서 다양한 유형의 학생들을 만났습니다.

chemistry phobia인 학생들부터, chemistry philia에 이르기까지...

 

기초가 부족한 학생들에게 얼마나 clear하고 체계적인 수업이 필요한지,

또 advanced한 내용을 추구하는 학생들에게 challenging한 내용을 어떻게 전달해야 하는지

체계적이고 꼼꼼하게, 학생 하나하나에 대한 정확한 진단을 통해 수업을 합니다. ^^

 

제 강의의 특징이라면,

성심성의껏, 학생 한명 한명에게 맞춘 강의를 한다는 것입니다. ^^

정확한 내용의 일목요연한 강의는 물론이구요.

 

skype 수업이라면 과연 잘 진행이 될까 하는 염려도 없지 않으시리라 생각합니다.

학생들도 마찬가지입니다.

처음에는 skype 수업이 과연 효과가 있을까라는 궁금증을 갖고 수업을 시작하게 되었는데,

 skype 수업의 반응과 결과들을 봤을 때, 학생들의 반응은 너무나 좋았습니다.

 수업의 내용은 각 학생의 need에 맞게 진행합니다. ^^

GPA를 위한 concept 설명이 될 수도 있고, lab report를 위한 도움이 될 수도 있구요

SAT 2 chemistry or AP chemistry prep이 될수도 있구요.

I graduated KNUE(Korean national university of education) in chemistry education with a teacher certificate.

And I also completed master course in chemistry education in SNU(Seoul national university) and have not finished the doctoral course in same area.

I am sure it is very unique background from anyone else's. I have been always in chemistry education since 2002 when I got to the university.

 

 

I have been teaching chemistry ONLY for 7 years to hundreads of students who study abroad or in the international school in Korea.

I can lead students to prepare for GPA in school, SAT II chemistry and AP as well.

I have worked for privitate tutoring and class in academy(학원) as well.

I encouraged students and urged them and sometimes even pushed them to achieve the goal. At last, so many students got what they wanted. So many above-750s in SATII, so many 5 score in AP and A in GPA. (I am always happy to see when they change dramatically like from C to A)

I have my own strategy and my own special materials which are accumulated for several years.

 

 

Since I am a native Korean-speaker, I speak in a bilingual way in my classes. However it has been very helpful to any students without communication probelms.

One thing very special is this: I always care about students. I always contact with them and check how everything is going. And I am very willing to help them, so I am always there to help them by email or facebook or kakaotalk or even SKYPE.

 I do have a class via SKYPE with my tablet. It is sucessfully working when students are lost in their courses because of many difficultis from test and labs. You will see how it works amazingly and lets them keep up with the class with feeling more comfortable and more pride in themselves.
